Float Training Programs... |
Lake Country Airways provides basic float training instruction in our Discover Float Flying Package. All initial float training is offered in our Cessna 172 as part of a seven-hour course consisting of take offs and landings, including crosswind and glassy water techniques, sailing, taxiing, docking and procedures for remote lake approaches and departures.
Transport Canada Float Endorsement Requirements Include:
- Minimum of seven hours training, including five hours of mandatory dual instruction
- Solo flights must include a minimum of five take offs and landings,
We also offer advanced float training programs for those wishing to gain further
experience or pursue a career as a commercial float pilot. Advanced float training includes additional
flying techniques, actual bush camp experience and survival skills. Gain the knowledge and skills
required to operate our Cessna 172 and our Cessna 185. Develop your skills and experience float plane
operators are looking for.
Lake Country Airways can also customize any training a student requires. Students are recommended to contact us to outline requirements so that we may co-ordinate the necessary training, equipment and provide a cost estimate. Foreign pilots are welcome.
